GCTW, short for Ganpati Compressor and Tractor Works, traces its roots back to the year 2000 when it was established by Sh. Ashok Kumar, the current Chairman of the company. Sh. Ashok Kumar's remarkable journey is one of sheer determination and resilience, having commenced his entrepreneurial voyage at a tender age. Hailing from the picturesque Gurdaspur district of Punjab, Sh. Ashok Kumar embarked on a life-changing journey that eventually led him to the bustling city of Faridabad. At the age of 17, he, along with his elder brother, set out on a quest for a better life and greater opportunities.

In those early days in Faridabad, opportunities were scarce, but Sh. Ashok Kumar's unwavering spirit led him to take on various odd jobs to make ends meet. One such job involved assembling drilling rods used in rock blasting operations during the peak of Aravali mining works. As he toiled day in and day out, an idea began to take shape - the idea of building something of his own, something that would bear his indomitable spirit.

With determination as his guiding light, Sh. Ashok Kumar gradually transitioned from assembling drilling rods to crafting tractors and compressors, marking the genesis of his proprietary venture. The journey was undoubtedly fraught with challenges, but Sh. Ashok Kumar's resilience and unwavering commitment allowed him to overcome every obstacle in his path.
